Challenges with Monetization and Scalability of Online Training Platform

WKO launched an online training platform (EdCast LMS) but lacked a robust account management and billing system to effectively monetize its educational services. The initial platform lacked invoicing capabilities, and the existing solution (Stripe) became economically unviable for larger corporate clients. There was a need for a scalable solution to manage diverse user types (individuals, SMBs, enterprises), handle complex pricing models, and integrate seamlessly with the existing LMS.

  • Develop a comprehensive account management module to support diverse user types (individuals, SMBs, enterprises).
  • Implement a flexible and scalable billing system capable of handling complex pricing plans and large-volume invoicing.
  • Integrate the account management module with the existing EdCast LMS.
  • Provide a unified user experience across the marketing website, account management module, and LMS.
  • Enable efficient management of user accounts, licenses, and billing information.

  • User registration and authentication with Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • User account management with role-based access control (Owner, Administrator, Manager).
  • License purchase and management with various pricing options (fixed, tiered, volumebased).
